Sponsoring an Immigrant Aspiring Designer
Super excited to see you making a choice to help others in achieving their dreams!
First, you’ll need to apply to become a registered sponsor of the project, then you’ll be able to select a maximum of two approved program participants from the list of interested and approved participants, once you have selected the participant(s) you’d like to sponsor, we will have a zoom introduction call between you, the participant(s) and one of our Program Committee members.
Keep in mind, your commitment is for at least 6 months of regular mentorship and guidance, which can be either monthly, bi-weekly, or weekly of at least 1 hour for each meeting. The frequency or length of each meeting is completely up to you but you must meet the minimum requirement of 1 hour once a month.
Once you have met the program participant(s) that you will be sponsoring, you can together select a single or multiple course(s) or a membership to an approved Courses Platform from our vetted list of courses and platforms, which you will be sponsoring financially for the duration of the course(s) or 6-12 month membership to a course platform.
This is not a non-profit or for-profit organization, this is a project, which means we do not have legal standing to make sure you meet your required obligations as a sponsor, we simply rely on the honesty and good intentions of all people involved. So please, if you are not sure if you can commit to at least 6 months of sponsorship and mentorship, we appreciate the interest, but maybe apply another time when you are sure. Thank you!
